Avowed socialists Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) are trying to convince broke and frustrated Americans that the real oligarchy is NOT the democratic party/uniparty, but President Trump and his wealthy musketeers who are working without a salary – like a real public servant. Bernie and AOC live off the federal government and want the slush fest to continue because they are socialists and live off other people’s money.
When have socialists/communists been right about anything? They Fail all the time.
Exhibit A: Venezuela was the 4th wealthiest nation in the 1950s and then they tried socialism/communism.
Communism kills people dead.
The Fight Oligarchy tour has great timing too. It’s time to do our taxes so we’re sure to be riled up. Are you paying your tax bill on a credit card this year?
The crowd is sucking in the bait. And they vote.
"Well, when I talked about oligarchy over the years, I think for some people it was an abstraction," Sanders said in an interview with NPR. Now though, "people understand you have to be blind not to see that what we have today is a government of the billionaires, by the billionaires and for the billionaires."
Ol·i·gar·chy: a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes.
So we have a visionary/entrepreneur extraordinaire, a legal immigrant whose products help millions worldwide, who is fighting for free speech and is the most successful African-American in history. Did we just watch SpaceX save abandoned astronauts?
So Musk is doing this for selfish purposes? Ok, he has contracts with the feds, but he also has lots of kids so he is vested in seeing that America survives, as is President Trump.
But what about the fact that America is sinking into bankruptcy from its 37 trillion dollar debt so a full DOGE audit is bad, Bernie? President Trump delegated DOGE to Musk, whose team reveals daily what suckers we all have been in allowing these corrupt politicians to squander our hard-earned money.
The Trump Administration is to transparency as the Biden Administration was to secrecy. So who is the real oligarchy?
Remember when Bernie Sanders threw himself under Hillary’s bus in 2016?
Who votes for these corrupt politicians? Americans do.
Americans will vote with their feelings to fight the wicked oligarchy as told to them by avowed socialists. And that’s why democracies, even constitutional republics, all eventually die. Democracies die in the ignorance of its voters.
Americans 'select' only from whom the parties put out front of them. And we apparently are swayed by advertising rather than by carefully investigating what the parties are likely to do in office. We for the most part don't even know what our government is doing. The legislation is not understandable by those few (if any) who who read it. Our 'representatives' do not read it either--and they do not write it.
Three hundred million people could not govern themselves (a true democracy.) In 2024 (supposedly) one hundred fifty-five million voted. In 2020 (supposedly) One hundred fifty-eight million voted. In all likelihood, at least three million 2020 votes for Biden were Democrat party generated votes. We'll probably never know who actually votes. We hardly know who counts the votes. If only Republicans counted votes, who do you think would win every time? If only Democrats counted them? What we do know is that Democrats claim no fraud and Republicans claim massive fraud. Both can't be correct. Given human nature, the odds are that there is fraud.
What is the answer? I don't know, but I do have some suggestions.
1. Any legislation should be required a minimum on sixty percent approval by the Senate.
2. All legislation must have an expiration date.
3. Terms of office must be limited to four for House seats, two for senators. No one can serve more than twenty cumulative years in elective Federal office.
4. After a first term in Federal elective office, re-election must be by fifty-five percentage points.
5. All candidates for an office must be on the ballot, regardless of polling numbers.
6. If no candidate reaches fifty-five percent of the votes, the candidate having a simple majority must be approved by the body to which he is a candidate for, except for the office of the President which will be selected by the Electoral College.
7. Campaign funding must be limited to a maximum of two years salary of the office being sought.
8. Government spending must not exceed the revenue collected during the prior year.
9. Election oversight is the responsibility of each State's legislature, subject to audit by the FBI.
Amen. Is it possible to love this so much yet hate it all at the same time? Yes. Absolutely. God bless and thanks for this.
