Yup. I’m currently also one of those “making payments” while every year they charge me more in interest and penalties which makes the balance go up every year. It’s disgusting. If you owe a balance, that’s what you owe. Penalties and interest are a crime. I want to see the entire IRS abolished. And I’m a professional with a solid, great income. Disgusting.

💯- That is disgusting and penalties and interest are theft, not to mention what our taxes are going for. The IRS must be abolished!

But, we have to amend the Constitution to abolish the 16th Amendment- and how do we do that when 3/4 of the states need to agree to amend it?

3/4 of the states approved it (on the promise that it wouldn't exceed 1%.) Seeing what it has become getting it repealed should be a cinch. The problem is in getting the chance to vote it down. We can't even vote on term limits, let alone to kill their cash cow.

It won’t happen in my lifetime. We suffer from Stockholm syndrome where we truly believe we MUST pay these taxes in order to run this country. Our population has chosen slavery with their eyes open.

I’ve been working part time for an accountant for several years. Tax season is the worst season imaginable. The things I see are really, really sad. Middle-class Americans struggling and getting hit with all these taxes. The entire system needs to be overhauled, or better yet do away with the IRS altogether. Taxes are an absolute crime. People are taxed on literally everything And it’s so completely unfair. When you see it up close and personal all day long, you really get an idea of just how messed up our tax system is. Especially for the middle class.

Over the past 10 years, Obamacare insurance has cost me an extra $50,000 or more. I'm still paying for it, on a $1,500/mo. payment plan with the IRS, even though I'm now on Medicare and Social Security. I would have gone without insurance if I had known, but it was only at tax time each year that it was determined that I owed more. Helluva racket, for the government and the insurance companies.

Well- someone needs us. An added bonus I got to read your replies to intrusive questions. My favorite on other "forms" are: race - human and what kind of American are you - american american. Happy tax season.

Yes Yes Yes!!!

ALL of it. Steroids on NOT paying taxes to those evil money launderers! (Is that the same as a money-changer?)

I want Michael to go with me into the IRS, call them all "Moneychangers!" then we walk out and the building later collapses to the ground.
